At the heart of this event lies a shared passion for fitness and a deep commitment to making a positive impact. The U-Pick 5k or Spin is a unique twist on the traditional running event. Participants have the option to either run a 5k route or hop on their bikes for an exhilarating spin, combining the joy of movement with the thrill of outdoor exploration. But what truly sets this event apart is the purpose behind it – all proceeds will go towards supporting the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center.

As August arrives, Northern Maine sheds its springtime cloak and embraces the full glory of summer. The 2023 Music on the Mall is starting on June 28th and concluding on August 30th. The vibrant atmosphere and soulful tunes filled the heart of Brunswick at the iconic Mall area, transforming it into a hub of musical celebration.

2. July 5: DOUBLE CONCERT NIGHT!

   • 5:00 - 6:15: Army National Guard Band

3. July 12: Jimmy Jo and the Jumbol’Ayuhs (Cajun Louisiana with a Downeast accent)

4. July 19: The Cobblestones (Variety of songs from various artists)

5. July 26: Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations (Motown/Memphis Soul Music)

6. August 2: The Joint Chiefs (Rocking Portland Maine's music scene)

7. August 9: Bonnie Edwards & The Practical Cats (Blues, Jump Swing, Jazz, Vintage R&B, and original music)

8. August 16: Breakin' Strings (Maine's Premier bluegrass band and Nashville recording artists)

9. August 23: MSMT (Performing songs from a variety of shows, concert begins at 5:30)

10. August 30: Dirty McCurdy (Rockin "4-piece Power Trio" with a variety of instruments)

It is the best time of the year here in Brunswick, Maine! The outdoor farmers markets begin this week! Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30-1 on the green and Saturdays from 8-12 at Crystal Spring Farm. I for one could not be happier, there is something so sweet about being able to shop outside all while supporting the many farmers/ makers in our community. 

April is Fair Housing Month. For many people, this may not hold much meaning, but it’s a great time to refresh your memory on the importance of the Fair Housing Act and better understand what it means for you!
