Portside Real Estate Group's 2023 Summit: The Recap!

The Portside Real Estate Group held its annual 2023 Summit on February 9th, bringing together industry leaders, experts, and professionals from across the country to discuss the latest trends and developments in the real estate industry. The event was a huge success, with attendees gaining valuable insights and knowledge from the keynote speakers, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.  

One of the main highlights of the summit was the keynote speech by our Founder, Dava Davin, who provided a comprehensive overview of the company's growth and achievements in the past year. Her speech on her personal history that left the audience inspired! She also shared the company's vision for the future and the exciting new initiatives it has planned to further drive innovation and growth in the industry.  

Another keynote speaker, Deray Mckesson, spoke about the importance of community building in the context of real estate. Mckesson, a well-known activist and leader in the social justice movement, provided a thought-provoking and inspiring speech on how real estate development can be a catalyst for community building and growth. He spoke about the importance of creating inclusive, sustainable, and equitable communities, and the role that the real estate industry can play in making this a reality.

Katie Shorey, another speaker at the summit, addressed the topic of talent attraction and retention in Maine. Shorey, in conjunction with the non-profit Live + Work in Maine, shared her insights on the key factors that are attracting top talent to Maine and what can be done to keep them here. She discussed the importance of creating a supportive, inclusive, and innovative work environment and the role that the real estate industry can play in fostering these qualities.

The summit also provided ample opportunities for networking and connecting with industry peers. The attendees had the chance to connect with some of the brightest minds in the industry, exchange ideas, and forge new relationships that will be valuable in the future. The event was a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of bringing people together to drive innovation and growth.
